Children's Chiropractor Sydney

Gentle, Non-Force Care for All Ages

At Network Care Sydney, Dr Euan McMillan offers gentle Network Spinal care for babies, children, teenagers, and families. No forceful cracking. Suitable from birth, onwards.

If you've been looking for a gentle Chiropractor for your child in Sydney — one who doesn't crack or manipulate, and who understands that children's nervous systems need a completely different approach from adults — you're in the right place.

Network Spinal care uses contacts so light and precise that many children barely notice them. It is regularly used with newborns, toddlers, school-age children, teenagers, and families seeking care together.

Is Chiropractic Suitable for Children?

Network Spinal care is one of the gentlest forms of Chiropractic available for children. Unlike traditional Chiropractic, it does not involve heavy manipulation or forceful adjustment.

The contacts used are gentle enough for newborns — similar in pressure to a light touch. Sessions are quiet, unhurried, and adapted to each child's nervous system, age, and tolerance. Children are never forced into uncomfortable positions and are encouraged to stay relaxed throughout.

Dr Euan has worked with children of all ages throughout his 20+ year career and holds an understanding of how developing nervous systems respond to this work.

Why Children Benefit from Nervous System Support

Children are not immune to stress. The demands of school, screens, social pressures, developmental changes, and family stress all affect the nervous system of a growing child, often in ways that are expressed physically.

A well-regulated nervous system supports better sleep, learning, emotional resilience, posture, and physical development. Network Spinal care supports this regulation gently, without force.

Parents often bring their children to us for:

  • Ongoing tension, stiffness, or postural concerns

  • Sleep difficulties or unsettled patterns in infants

  • Stress, anxiety, or emotional dysregulation

  • Headaches, neck pain, or back discomfort from school bags or screens

  • Recovery support following birth trauma or a physically difficult delivery

  • Children with heightened sensitivity or nervous system reactivity

  • Families wanting a gentle, whole-family approach to care

  • General wellbeing and developmental support

What a Session Looks Like for a Child

Children's sessions at Network Care Sydney are calm and gentle. Here's what to expect:

  • Your child lies comfortably on the treatment table, fully clothed

  • Dr Euan applies light, specific contacts along the spine — primarily at the base of the spine and upper neck

  • Sessions are typically shorter for younger children — often 10–15 minutes

  • Children are encouraged to breathe and relax; there is nothing abrupt or surprising

  • Parents are welcome to stay in the room at all times

  • Dr Euan takes time to explain what he is doing and why, in terms children can understand

Many children find sessions deeply relaxing. Some fall asleep. Others notice changes in how they feel within the first few visits.

Newborns and Infants

Network Spinal care is suitable and well tolerated from birth, onwards. Some parents bring newborns in the first days or weeks of life — particularly following a long, difficult, or assisted delivery where the infant's neck and spine may have been placed under strain.

The contacts used for infants are exceptionally light, lighter than the weight of a fingertip. Sessions are very brief and carefully observed. There is no harsh force or painful manipulation.

What Ages Do You See?

Network Care Sydney sees children and young people of all ages, from newborns through to teenagers. There is no minimum or maximum age. Care is adapted to where each person is, physically and developmentally.

How Many Sessions Will My Child Need?

This varies between children and depends on what you are addressing. Some children respond quickly and need only a short course of care. Others benefit from longer-term support, particularly if the patterns being addressed have been present for some time.

Dr Euan will discuss a personalised plan at your first consultation. There is no obligation to commit to a fixed number of sessions.
